What Is Yoga, and
Which Class Is for Me?

Two fair questions. Here are honest answers to both, and a plain description of every class we run.

Yoga is moving our bodies with our breath

That is the foundation of yoga.

Some classes are slow and restorative; some will make us sweat. Some are done standing on a mat, some entirely from a chair. What they share is attention — to how we’re moving, how we’re breathing, and how we feel while we’re practicing.

We don’t need to be flexible. We don’t need any experience. We don’t need special clothes or our own equipment. We need about an hour, and a willingness to try something at our own pace.

Not sure where to start?

  • Never done yoga

Start with Yoga Basics. It is built for the brand-new student, in a room where we let go of judgment, expectations, and competition.

  • Rather stay off the floor

Start with Chair Flow. Same practice, done seated or with a chair for support.

  • Ready for the next step

Stretch & Strengthen follows naturally from either of the above.

What to expect on your first visit

Two students in wheel and downward dog in the studio.
A side-plank variation in an evening class, warm lamplight in the room.

Vinyasa-Dynamic Flow

Each pose flows seamlessly into the next connecting our body, mind and breath. Our Vinyasa-Dynamic Flow class becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and fluidity in the body and mind. This is an intermediate level class.

Power Flow

Power Flow is a strong and dynamic practice that can include almost any yoga pose, put together in sequences designed to build strength and endurance. This is accomplished through challenging poses that we either repeatedly move through quickly (increasing heart rate and targeting certain muscle groups) or hold for a longer time than usual (building muscle strength and endurance). Because power yoga is practiced in a more active and rigorous manner, this class requires patience, discipline, and a good baseline yoga foundation. We can definitely plan on working hard and sweating!

Stronger Together blends the mindfulness of yoga with the explosive energy of animal flow, plyometrics, and cardio intervals. This class challenges our athletic limits while keeping us connected to our breath. We will crawl, jump, sweat, and flow through dynamic, full-body movements designed to build explosive strength, improve mobility, and spike our heart rate. Expect a high-intensity workout that finishes with a purposeful, grounding cooldown to leave us feeling powerful, clear, and energized. Options and modifications will be taught so we can all grow STRONGER TOGETHER!
